For my birthday this year, I gave an informal watercolor workshop for a few friends. The wine helped A LOT. We had a great time. Below are some photos of our day 🙂
Part 1: Watercolor techniques
We covered 12 different watercolor techniques.
Part 2: Painting a Scenery
While visiting Venice a few years back, I took this image of Cimiterio De San Michele. It has simple enough shapes that allows us to play with watercolor.
My pre-class version of the Cemetery in watercolor that I used for demonstration.
Part 3: Paint a subject of choice
Sarah’s tomatoes
My persimmons and tangerines
And then, after 5 hours of painting, we invited a bunch of friends over to drink wine – lots of wine and subject them to our hard work. It was an awesomely fun event, and I hope to do more workshop with friends throughout the year. Thanks to all who came to paint, drink and helped make this the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!
